Onboarding Tutorial

When I worked as a Visual Designer at LevelUp—a Boston startup that offered an app that allowed users to order ahead at restaurants, that was later acquired by Grubhub—I was tasked with the challenge of creating a fully original animated tutorial that showcases the benefits of using the app to order ahead and skip the line at restaurants. At the time, I had very little animation experience and adapted to quickly learn several new techniques to complete the assignment.

I started by collaborating with marketing partners to align on a storyboard, then proceeded to establish the look and feel and create static illustrations in Adobe Illustrator before animating the final product in After Effects. Once the animated material was finalized and approved, I designed the interface to embed it in.
